The renovation of the Eisenhower Theater at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts included reconfiguring the stage and orchestra pit, improving accessibility, and upgrading lighting and mechanical systems. Modifications and re-routing of the ductwork required careful planning due to the limited amount of space. The Mueller team also designed the new air handling systems to minimize sound and eliminate disruptive air velocity problems that previously interfered with stage scenery and backdrops. A new sound system, balcony lighting rails, and lighting catwalks were also included.
