Duke University’s new School of Nursing incorporates breakthrough technologies and instructional approaches for the nationally acclaimed nursing and research program. The building includes lecture halls; laboratories; offices; and classrooms equipped with technology to support patient simulation, wireless Internet access, data analysis, and distance learning. Mechanical, electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems minimize energy and water use, in keeping with the ambitious LEED strategies employed throughout the building.
