The largest building on the Salisbury University campus, the new Henson Science Hall features 20 research laboratories, teaching labs, classrooms, lecture halls, offices, two auditoriums, and a small vivarium. Engineering features include VAV laboratory air systems, with variable volume hoods and laboratory pressurization controls. Designed in two, three-story wings, the building required five supply and two exhaust air handling systems. The building also has heat recovery between lab supply and exhaust air streams, a central heating and cooling plant, emergency power, and a central ultrapure reverse osmosis water system.
