Set in a prominent, gateway location on the Salisbury University campus, the new Teacher Education and Technology Complex (TETC) is a three-story building that houses the Seidel School of Education and Professional Studies, the Department of Information and Technology, an Integrated Media Center, and the Teaching and Learning Network. The building’s advanced technology supports a 124-seat computer lab, tiered classrooms, a distance learning center, multimedia labs, a television production studio, and numerous other labs and studios. Design of the TETC incorporated low-flow plumbing fixtures, an optimized chilled water plant, demand controlled ventilation, efficient lighting sources and controls, and numerous other sustainable features. Building commissioning addressed the building envelope, emergency generator and emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and general and site lighting.
