Parrish Hall at Swarthmore College is a landmark campus structure originally built in the late 1860s. The building was reconstructed after a fire in the 1880s, and had undergone only minor renovations since that time. Currently in use as a student residence hall and administrative office building, Parrish Hall consists of four stories plus a lower level. Renovation of the 136,000-square-foot structure included the design of a new chilled water service provided from the campus chilled water distribution system, all new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and a new fire suppression system. The work also included new security and telecommunications systems.
