The two-phase design and construction of the universitys new Performing Arts and Humanities Facility includes a four-story, 170,000-square-foot building and expansion of the campus central plant. The $113 million building will include a 350-seat concert hall, ensemble rooms, studios, recording facilities, a 275-seat proscenium theater, a host of support spaces for the performing arts, writing labs, classrooms, and offices.
In addition to complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for the facility, Mueller Associates is designing the expansion to the central plant, the extension of the utility tunnel, and upgrades to the campus chilled water distribution system. The project is being designed to LEED®-Silver certification standards.
