Mueller Associates Relocates to Airport Square in Linthicum
Engineering Firm Known for Complex Museum, Higher Education Design
Baltimore, MD—September 21, 2015
Mueller Associates, an award-winning mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering firm, has signed a lease for a new office at Airport Square in Linthicum, Md. The firm, which has been based in the Baltimore area since its founding in 1966, has relocated to the new space on September 25.
Mueller Associates employs a staff of 40 engineers, designers, and administrative personnel. The firm is known nationally for its work in engineering spaces with complex building system requirements, such as museums, libraries, performing arts centers, higher education facilities, labs, and corporate spaces.
The new, 13,000-square-foot space, located on Airport Square’s first floor at 1306 Concourse Drive, will enhance design and production efficiency and provide expanded meeting space for the firm, which is also known for its cutting-edge technical expertise, sustainable design, and historic preservation portfolio. The building is owned and managed by Corporate Office Properties Trust. DTZ represented Mueller Associates in the lease transaction.
Mueller’s current projects include renovations to the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum and George Washington University’s Corcoran School of the Arts & Design in Washington, DC. Additional projects include the expansion of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg, the new Duke University Arts Center in Durham, NC, the Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center at the University of Maryland in College Park, and the Bowie State University Center for Natural Sciences, Mathematics & Nursing, also in Maryland. The firm recently completed the renovation of the Baltimore Museum of Art and the University of Baltimore’s award-winning Angelos School of Law.
Mueller Associates will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2016.
